New studies show that there is a direct correlation between animal abusers and domestic abusers.

In fact, some law enforcements are now watching animal abusers more closey to help in cutting down the incidence of domestic violence. They feel if you stop animal abuse you will likely help in minimizing future incidences of violence in the home.

According to a study from the Humane Society of the United States, 13 percent of cases of animal abuse also involve domestic violence.

The majority of pet owners who enter domestic-violence shelters say their batterers had also been verbally and physical abusive with the family pets.
