According to reports from the National Domestic Violence Hotline, 324,000 women each year experience intimate partner violence during their pregnancy. And 30 percent of these women say the first violent incident happens while they’re pregnant.

Especially when there is an unwanted pregnancy, controlling men often suffer from storms of anger and commit acts of violence.

The CDC reports 4-8 percent of pregnant women in the U.S. are abused by an intimate partner.
