In an effort to reduce domestic violence in the workplace in Ohio, a new executive order has been put into action by Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland.
The new order is called the Barbara Warner Workplace Domestic Violence Policy, named after an employee of the Ohio Department of Health who was killed in 1997 by her husband.
Are we doing enough to foster safe working environments?

It is great that Ohio is being proactive in this way — if other employers want help in doing this, they can check out our website for sample policies and steps for creating a workplace program at www.caepv.org. Not only will they keep their workplace safer, but it helps with absenteeism, turnover, and productivity costs as well!
